OPTIMIZED Titration and Pre-Selected Dosing Tables - Laminated (For Use With OPTIMIZED and FULL SPECTRUM Dosing Parameter Sets)

Part Number: 9900-0019-01
Quantity: 1 each
  DOM and INT
Stimulus titration has been widely shown to be the most accurate method for quantifying seizure threshold and determining subsequent stimulus dosage. The research at Columbia University provided the evidence for the new optimized titration tables.48 These new Titration and Pre-Selected Dosing Tables are the most accurate and up to date tables, taking into account gender, age and electrode placement. Dosing is provided at 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 and 6 x seizure threshold, and is separately provided at 0.3, 0.5 and 1.0 pulse widths. MECTA provides extensive New and Historical Titration and Pre-Selected Dosing Tables for the OPTIMIZED and FULL SPECTRUM DOSING Parameter Sets for the 5000/4000 spECTrum models. These easy-to-use Titration and Pre-Selected Dosing Tables are included in all spECTrum model OPTIMIZED Instruction Manuals (see above), and they are also sold separately as a laminated set for both M and Q spECTrum models.

Titration and Pre-Selected Dosage Tables

Part Number: 9900-0019
Quantity: 1 each
  DOM and INT
Stimulus titration has been widely shown to be the most accurate method for quantifying seizure threshold and determining subsequent stimulus dosage. Now, definitive research published in 2008 by the group at Columbia University, who introduced the empirical titration method more than 20 years ago, confirms that right unilateral ECT given at 6 times initial seizure threshold with a 0.3 ms pulse width is equivalent therapeutically to using a robust form of bilateral ECT. These easy-to-use titration schedules are included in all spECTrum model Instruction Manuals (see above), and they are also sold separately as a laminated set for both M and Q spECTrum models (Sackeim, H.A., Ph.D., et al: Effects of pulse width and electrode placement on the efficacy and cognitive effects of electroconvulsive therapy. Brain Stimulation, 2008:2).
